Materials & Care

How to care for PetOn wool felt portraits, miniatures, wall pieces, and small keepsakes.

Materials

PetOn pieces are handmade with wool felt fiber, thread, backing materials, framing materials, and presentation hardware selected for the product ordered. Each piece is built from customer reference photos, so texture, color blending, face shape, and markings are interpreted by hand.

Display

Display your commission indoors in a dry, stable place. Keep it away from direct sun, heavy humidity, kitchen steam, smoke, dust buildup, and areas where children or pets may pull at the fibers.

Handling

Hold framed work by the frame or backing. Hold miniatures by the strongest body area rather than ears, tails, legs, wings, or delicate raised details. Do not bend, squeeze, brush aggressively, or pick at loose fiber.

Cleaning

Use a soft dry cloth around frames and a gentle air puff for dust on wool details. Do not wash, soak, scrub, steam, iron, bleach, spray fragrance, or use household cleaners on wool felt.

Storage

If you need to store a piece, wrap it in clean acid-free tissue or soft cotton, then place it in a dry box with enough space so raised details are not pressed flat. Avoid long-term storage in attics, garages, basements, or hot vehicles.

What Is Normal

Small fiber movement, tiny surface fuzz, subtle color variation, and handmade asymmetry are normal. These are part of wool felt work and do not mean the piece is defective.

When To Contact Support

Contact support if a piece arrives damaged, a frame or attachment loosens, or a structural detail separates during the warranty window. Include clear photos of the issue and the order number.
