Handmade Limits
What PetOn can and cannot promise when translating pet reference photos into handmade wool felt art.

Handmade Interpretation
Every PetOn commission is shaped by hand from wool felt. We aim for a loving, recognizable likeness, but no handmade fiber piece can be an exact copy of a photo, a digital render, or a living pet.
Reference Photos Matter
Clear reference photos help the artist understand face shape, markings, coat direction, posture, and personality. Blurry, filtered, cropped, dark, or low-angle photos may limit detail accuracy. If the photo set is not usable, the studio may request more photos before production starts.
Color And Texture
Wool fibers, monitor settings, lighting, and camera exposure can make colors look different from screen previews. The final piece may show natural fiber blending, soft edges, and slight color interpretation.
Pose And Scale
Some poses, markings, ear positions, tails, wings, curls, collars, and accessories may need simplification for strength and proportion. Product scale also affects how much detail can be included.
Revisions
Preview feedback is welcome, but revision scope depends on product type and stage. Small adjustments to markings, expression, or minor details may be possible. Major redesigns, new poses, new pet counts, new product types, or new photo direction may require a new order or adjustment fee.
Safety
PetOn keepsakes are decorative items. They are not toys and are not intended for chewing, rough handling, outdoor use, or unsupervised access by pets or young children.
Declined Requests
PetOn may decline a request if the reference material is unusable, the desired result is not practical in wool felt, the content is unsafe or infringing, or the timeline cannot be met responsibly.
